About 41 miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas, in Hood County is the city of Granbury, which was founded 1887 and started as a square and a log cabin courthouse. It was named for General Hiram B. Granbury.

Today, many of the cities are registered historic landmarks, so the culture is rich here, and residents enjoy Lake Granbury, which flows through the city. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation here with hot summers and mild winters.

Granbury had 8,356 residents as of the 2012 U.S. Census, so you can certainly enjoy the pleasures of small-town charm and living here, but the city is growing. Since 2000, the population has increased an impressive 46.1 percent. Even so, the cost of living still stays about 8 percent lower than the national average.

Reviews from texas Customers

  • All the things you asked me before. They were just good. I had no choice to take Allied and I'm very pleased with the service. They bought out the public service company that I had in the Dallas area.
  • The driver and crew were very helpful, personable, quick, on time and did what they said they would do.
  • I like the whole service, except Allied VanLines only sent out one person to myhome to help with the moving so it took a long time.
  • The unloader did not assemble some of my goods. In addition the unloaders knocked some of the paint off my walls.
  • The estimator, loaders and the delivery team were excellent. The crew seemed to be nonchalant about the delivery.
  • I like the way things were handled. Totally wrapped everything and very careful with everything. Driver was comprehensive. Honest and straightforward.
  • The crew seemed to care about what they were doing, they were nice, careful, courteous, polite, and they went through the house and thanked everyone before they left.
  • The timeliness that the driver and crew displayed. The customer service reps were very eager to assist me.
  • Allied picked up & delivered on time. The driver also accommodated my delivery time in order to get access to the freight elevator in my building.
  • I had a positive experience with the exception that the salesperson or estimator should follow through to ensure that everything is handled accordingly.
