What a Move to Langhorne Has to Offer

Langhorne was first established in the 17th century by Jack Alexander. The town is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Historically, the town came into being when the railroad transportation business was expanding. Langhorne became a stagecoach transportation hub of Bucks County, providing people with transportation between Trenton and Philadelphia. The town is named after Jeremiah Langhorne, the former chief justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme court.

As of the 2010 census, Langhorne's population was 1,622. The town is a great place to raise a family. Almost half of the population is married, and about 26 percent of the residents have children under the age of 18. There are many activities to do in town that are great for the family. Residents enjoy frequenting the many parks, historic homes and museums located around the city.

The Washington Crossing Historic Park is located on the site where General George Washington and his Continental Army traversed the Delaware River on their way to the Battle of Trenton. Replicas of the boats used during the journey are located in the park, which showcases the unique history of Langhorne. Honoring historic architecture in the city is the Perry Mansion, which was built in late 18th century and later preserved by the New Hope Historical Society in 1966. The mansion boasts eight rooms that are furnished by sculptures, paintings, furniture and other memorabilia from the period of 1775 to 1900.
