Ask Allied: Can I Request A Guaranteed Pickup and Delivery Date? When you move your belongings across the city, state, or even country, you’re putting a lot of trust in your moving company. You’re asking us to take on the job of protecting your belongings and mementos over a journey of up to thousands of miles—and it’s a job we take seriously.
Ask Allied: A Moving Guide
Ask Allied: How to Submit a Claim. As your preferred moving company, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to submit a claim if you discover any of your belongings to have been lost, damaged, or misplaced along the way. Because there is a time limit on being able to make this claim, we encourage you to start the process as soon as possible—ideally the day of the move.
Ask Allied: Must My Mover Write Up an Inventory of the Shipment? It isn’t a legal requirement for movers to write up an inventory of your shipment. Because most moving companies price your moving costs based on weight, the only real requirement is that they take an accurate weight of the belongings once they are loaded into the van. If you are in any way uncomfortable with the idea of an inventory being made, you can let your movers know and skip this step in the moving process.
