More Than Movers: How Allied is Moving Toward a Cure with Susan G.

At Allied, we’re more than just a moving company. Caring for the communities we serve is built into our DNA. According to BreastCancer.org, an estimated 287,850 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Allied Van Lines is proud to partner with Susan G. Komen to help bring an end to breast cancer. 

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with the disease and supporting research for a cure. This vicious disease not only affects the families and communities we serve; breast cancer also personally affects our network of agents. 

Allied is proud to support Susan G. Komen to help fundraise and raise awareness across the nation. Since beginning our partnership in 2021, our network of agents has donated over $80,000 to help fund Susan G. Komen’s research and advocacy efforts, as well as provide lifesaving support to women and families fighting breast cancer. 

For the Cure

Susan G. Komen is the world’s leading breast cancer organization funding research, raising awareness on community health and supporting public policy initiatives. Susan G. Komen addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts and has transformed how the world treats this disease. In fact, Susan G. Komen has made major contributions to developing better early detection and treatment methods, directly leading to a 42% decrease in the breast cancer death rate. 

Susan G. Komen also works to educate people on breast cancer risks and empowers women to get regularly checked, leading to earlier detection of the disease and a higher likelihood of successful treatment. Susan G. Komen also supports uninsured and low-income communities in getting access to quality care. 

Through our partnership with Susan G. Komen, Allied agents are able to engage the communities we serve with important information about breast cancer and help fund breakthrough research, advocacy and patient care services to support those facing the disease today.
