Allied's Australian origins begin with the establishment of family-owned moving company Downard Transport, which laid the groundwork for the business's long-term presence in the local removals industry.

Downard Transport Industries was acquired to form Downard Pickfords, marking a significant expansion of the moving network into Australia.

Downard Pickfords became Allied Pickfords as part of a global branding initiative, establishing Allied as a recognised name in the removals industry worldwide.
