I was worried after reading some of their Google reviews about items arriving damaged, broken, or mouldy. But whether we got lucky or not, our experience with Allied's teams in Singapore and the Philippines left us thoroughly impressed.
Before the move, I called our sales contact, Darren, to voice concerns about our valuable and fragile items and preventing mould—especially since paperwork delays meant storage could last 1–several months. He kindly offered tips, including separating mould-prone items like leather to bring ourselves if possible. We also used vacuum-sealed bags for our clothes and bedding, and acid-free tissue for shoes (but this is not foolproof if conditions are poor). Interestingly, some items that had previously moulded in Singapore—and weren't specially vacuum-sealed or wrapped in acid-free tissue—arrived fine, suggesting perhaps that Allied may have improved their storage conditions since those reviews. I only mention this because we thankfully had zero issues with mould and it was a key concern seeing the unfortunate reviews of others. However, again, our items were only in storage for about a month and a half, so maybe this was another factor.
The Singapore packing team, led by Xavier, handled our three-day job with outstanding professionalism and efficiency. I bombarded him with questions about careful packing for fragiles, valuables, and pricey tech—and he patiently reassured me every step of the way.
In the end, all 200+ boxes and furniture arrived intact, with just one bulky piece of furniture missing a screw and a few expected scuffs on various other heavy furniture.
We couldn't be happier—Allied made our first relocation effortless. We'd recommend them and use them again without hesitation.
One suggestion for you, Allied: It may be worth considering a colour-coding system by room (e.g., colour + room name on labels) to simplify unpacking—it would make directing items in a new home much easier!
