Inform your Landlord or Real Estate Agent
If you are moving out of your rented villa, you will need to inform your Landlord. Dubai’s property laws state that you need to give at least 90 days notice prior to the end of the tenancy. This should also give you adequate time to find a new villa to relocate to, if you haven’t already. If you are planning to sell your current villa, then you should inform your real estate agent as soon as possible so they can begin the process of listing your villa for purchase.

There’s no doubt that moving villas can be stressful! With so many different things to do, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. By following a moving checklist, you can ensure that you haven’t forgotten anything important in the lead up to and on the big day. Book movers as soon as possible

Arrange utilities
When it comes to moving villas, you will want to ensure that your utilities (such as DEWA and SEWA) are disconnected at your previous address and all set-up at your new one! There can be some downtime when it comes to setting up new utilities so make sure you arrange this at least a few days in advance - otherwise you may be spending the first night in your new villa in the dark!
Prepare your new villa
Before you move into your new villa, you will want to ensure that it’s clean and ready! It’s the best time to do any prior repairs, renovations or painting. While your villa should be cleaned by the previous tenants/owner, you may want to do your own clean. You can also stock your new villa with some essentials like toilet paper and bottled water. This can make the move in process less stressful and avoid you getting caught out before you unpack.
