Located close to Academic City which houses over 25 universities and various schools, Arabian Ranches is a great choice for expat families. The suburban community is further out from the city so it’s quieter and considered safer. The local amenities such as swimming pools, tennis and golf clubs, and shopping make this area highly popular with expats. You’ll find a range of townhouses and villas to choose from but keep in mind that Arabian Ranches is a relatively expensive area.

If you are looking for an area in Dubai that combines the benefits of the city without compromising on quiet, Jumeirah is a great choice for your family! Both expats and locals enjoy everything that Jumeirah has to offer, including some of the best schools in Dubai like Jumeira Baccalaureate school, great healthcare facilities and an abundance of attractions and parks. Although the villas and townhouses are on the more expensive side, you can still find some reasonably priced apartments in Jumeirah. 

For those wanting lower-cost accommodation, you can’t beat Mirdif! Located closer to the airport, there is no shortage of beautiful outdoor spaces - the huge Mushrif Park is hugely popular with families. There is also a great selection of schools, shopping malls and amenities available in Mirdif. It’s relevant to note that there is no metro in Mirdif so you will likely need a car to get around and access the rest of Dubai.
