Whilst Allied takes every precaution to protect your possessions, there are external factors beyond anyone’s control that need to be considered during transit. These include weather conditions, traffic incidents, vibration, shock, pressure movement and atmospheric changes, all of which can occur during local, regional or international relocations.

In some cases, unforeseen circumstances can also lead to financial implications, such as a shipping company declaring 'General Average'. To provide peace of mind against these risks, Allied offers a purposely designed Transit Protection Plan, arranged based on your nominated declared value.

Allied offers 2 options for comprehensive protection from origin to destination, with clear accountability and support throughout the journey.

The simplest and most comprehensive option including add-ons to provide enhanced protection. Coverage for the overall value of your shipment which is ideal when you want complete protection without itemising everything.

Lower entry cost with the ability to add protection only where needed. Specific values are assigned to each item for tailored, precise coverage.

• Repair or replacement value as new at destination, not exceeding the agreed declared value
• Dedicated case manager assigned in the unlikely event of a claim
• In-house claims centre, ensuring a streamlined and efficient claims process
• Storage Protection, for up to 90 days if you wish to store your belongings

To suit individual needs, Allied includes a range of add-ons to the Gold Protection Plan. These are optional on the Standard Protection Plan.

Cover for mechanical and/or electrical items you nominate, providing repair, restitution or replacement where an item has no visible external damage but is no longer functioning.

Protection for pairs and sets nominated by you. If one component of a matched set is lost or damaged, the plan provides replacement of the entire pair or set.

Cover for mould and mildew that may occur during transit, particularly beneficial for long-haul or sea freight moves.

Storage Protection for a total of 90 days at origin and/or destination is included. However, we can offer extended coverage beyond 90 days if you need more time.
