It has come to our attention that the processing of applications for "Transfer of Residence" relief for imports into the UK is currently experiencing a significant delay in this busy summer season.

Successful application for ToR is necessary if you want to receive tax relief to move your household goods to the UK.  If you wish to apply for this relief, we advise that you obtain your ToR Authorisation code before your shipment leaves Singapore to avoid delays, demurrage and other charges at the UK port of destination.

Should you wish to accept taxes on your shipment in the first instance, you will need to contact HM Revenue & Customs for more information on how you might be able claim back any relief after your shipment has arrived in the UK.

Please note that this situation is completely out of the control of Allied Moving Services as it is implemented by HM Revenue & Customs in the UK

For more information on the ToR you can visit our Information Page or read about the Customs Procedures for Personal Property Imports into the UK.
