Silver Cross Field
Silver Cross Field is the main baseball field in Joliet. This pristine field seats over 6,000 visitors and plays host to a wide range of baseball events throughout the year. These events generally include the home games played by the Joliet Slammers. This professional team belongs to the Frontier League, an independent baseball organization. The University of St. Francis also plays their home games at Silver Cross Field. Pilcher Park Nature Center

The Dirt Oval at Route 66 is a racing venue that hosts a selection of monster truck events during the year. The stadium itself seats thousands of guests and provides a great view of the action no matter where you're sitting. Tickets for any event are generally inexpensive and are completely free for children two and under. After the race, you can even stop by the pit area to get a better look at the drivers and the vehicles. The pit is open on race day for guests of all ages.

Renovations have been made to the building in order to highlight the various periods of its existence and ensure that the facility presents a historically accurate picture of life within its walls.
