SIRVA Names New Moving Services President

Michael B. McMahon Joins SIRVA’s Leadership Team to Help Execute Company’s “Relocation Redefined” Strategy

CHICAGO, April 14, 2004 – SIRVA, Inc. (NYSE: SIR), a global relocation services provider, announced today that Michael B. McMahon has joined its senior leadership team as president, Moving Services. McMahon comes to SIRVA from GE Capital where he held senior executive positions since 1997 in the company’s Rail Services and Card Services businesses.

“Mike is an experienced leader who will be extremely effective in working with our associates and agents to enhance our service offerings, cross sell our relocation and moving services to our corporate clients, and grow our business worldwide,” said Brian P. Kelley, president and chief executive officer of SIRVA. “His financial acumen and strong operational experience within a number of industry sectors uniquely qualify him for his new role at SIRVA.”

McMahon has worked at GE Capital in several senior leadership capacities, most recently as general manager, Product & Asset Management for Rail Services. Prior to that, he was the chief financial officer for Rail Services. He also has held numerous leadership positions for other GE units, including GE International

and GE Appliances. McMahon began his career at IBM and also worked at Mellon Bank. He received a B.S. degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University and attended many GE Executive Level Management Courses.

Mike Fergus, formerly president, Moving Services, at SIRVA will continue to work as an advisor reporting directly to Kelley on strategic initiatives and special projects across all of SIRVA’s business segments around the world.
