Of course Allied Van Lines makes an effort to address and resolve all claims quickly, but it’s better for everyone if there is no reason to file a claim in the first place. That’s why Allied uses a variety of innovative claim prevention methods to help avoid damage and loss during every corporate relocation and move.

Some losses are unavoidable, but many are not. We’ve determined what most commonly causes items to be damaged or lost, and our movers practice several ways of protecting your belongings during the moving process. And just in case, we offer several valuation coverage options as part of the corporate relocation services that Allied offers.

The Protection Your Corporate Relocation Company Offers

Our moving and corporate relocation services center on the safety and security of your possessions -- from the packing materials we use to our equipment to our highly-trained drivers. At every step of the move, from packing to loading to unloading and all the while your shipment is on the road, we do our utmost to prevent any damage or loss.

Allied offers basic liability coverage with every move at no extra charge. But if you’d like to ensure that any lost or damaged items will be repaired or replaced at their full value, we recommend our full valuation coverage.  

Proactive Corporate Relocation Claims Prevention Efforts

With every corporate relocation we handle, Allied takes a variety of steps to ensure that no damage occurs. That includes using our heavy-gauge “stretch-wrap” -- a plastic sheeting that Allied uses to protect leather and upholstered furniture from damage such as stains and rips. Our pioneering use of stretch-wrap has all but eliminated the most frequently-filed complaint and damages claim in the moving industry. Our movers also use an innovative adhesive-backed carpet cover to shield your carpet from dirt and grime.

We know what the most common “claim culprits” are because each year, we review the frequency of claims per item. Through finding ways to prevent these common culprits from damaging your items, Allied has significantly reduced the amount of claims while dramatically increasing customer satisfaction.


And if damage or loss does occur despite our best efforts, Allied makes claim resolution easy through our quick claim filing process. Our customers have the option of either  filling claims online or

requesting a paper claim form that we can send via U.S. mail. We settle claims as expeditiously as possible by offering repairs or cash settlements so you can have the item fixed or replaced fast -- and get on with life in your new home.

I gave them a ten because we have moved a couple of times, the guys were great, the over all move was easy, and they finished quickly. I want to say they came early and finished the job early. The only problem was getting in and out, it was more of a issue because of the way our apartment is made.

Better customer service. Be a little more careful overall. The pricing was a little higher but not by much. The local ware house was good. Everyone else wanted to ship my stuff everywhere. When you show up on the phone, show your whole number. The only thing they had packed it was bent. I had some crushables. They put heavy stuff on top of my fragile stuff.
